WIPE out your navigation address book, home, favorites, bread crumbs and anything else that could lead someone to your friends or family. The dealerships can try it electronically, but most technicians won’t have the knowledge on hand and will have to call the manufacturer unless they have done it before. Be safe, do it yourself to be sure. Blue-Tooth phone in your car? Delete your entire phone book, all those uploaded phone numbers with voice command; “CALL HOME”, “CALL WORK” could bring you unwanted attention. Dealers are not paying close enough attention to customer security when taking a car in on trade or selling one they bought at auction.
