Here are my Top Ten New 2015 models to star in this years auto shows. 1.  JAGUAR XE:  Among the most exciting new reveals, the 2015 Jaguar XE, a smaller version of the XF, aimed squarely at the BMW  3 Series and Mercedes Benz C-class. This much needed entry point for Jaguar will not be in dealer showrooms until summer 2015, but is worth the wait.

You will have to get on the waiting list, order and wait some more as production will be limited and dealers will hold for all the money. 3.  FIAT 500X:   Think Mini Cooper Paceman with Italian edge. (Not for extreme heat climates where air conditioning on high is mandatory), but still cool looking, roomy and reasonably priced.

Electric Plug-in Hybrids all the range and rage for 2015 new car models.

4. PORSCHE CAYENNE e-HYBRID:  Plug-in hybrid w/gas. Finally an SUV with ability and sustainability. Late 2015 delivery. 5.  NISSAN PULSAR NIZMO:  The famous Pulsar name, with the street cred of the Nizmo badge. Not your mother’s hatchback. Reasonably priced too. 6. CHRYSLER 300: Finally the moment we have all been waiting for, sort of. Expecting huge changes, not. Why mess with a known hit, Chrysler learned from the Ford Taurus debacle, don’t change it too much, it it isn’t broke. The racked front end and new headlights are a steal from the Euro elite. Still has a touch of Bad-ass with civility and room for a party in the back seat. 2015 chrysler 300 paris auto show audi tt               7.  AUDI TT Sportback: A concept car with lamps and lines reminiscent of the sister A7 rear end and Q7 nose. As close to production ready as one can imagine, it’s a nice option for those wanting more sizzle than the A4 and A6 executive ride. 8.  LAMBORGHINI ASTERION: Another sexy plug-in hybrid for the ultra-luxury class. Looking more La Ferrari than 918, this car has no order list pending but the 990 HP 0-60 in 3 seconds is only half a second off the fastest production sports car: the 918 SPYDER. With the Porsche priced at $900,000.00 and the La Ferrari at $1.5 Million, don’t ask the price of the Asterion, it’s all about if you can get one. 9.  VW PASSAT GTE Hybrid Plug-in:  Another Electric Plug-in with gas component to salve range anxiety. Just what the ailing Volkswagen line-up needs to get a re-charge as the Beetle, Jetta crowd grows up. When this Passat becomes available stateside in 2016, look for sister Golf GTE Electric Hybrid to be along side. 10.  BENTLEY MULSANNE: The all new Bentley Mulsanne is the most over-stated sedan in the crowd. A new model for the elite, the lines are royal and the speed a stately 62 mph in 8 seconds, which is fast for a yacht on land. ——————————————————————————– Sarah Lee is an automotive writer, personal car concierge and commercial fleet manager.
