Pending Class Action Lawsuit Settled Out of Court
Thousands of unhappy 2007-2009 Dodge Ram 6.7L Diesel owners have been waiting to hear if a pending action to grant CLASS-ACTION status would finally bear fruit for their pain.
After years of frustration with the DPF failures of the 2007-2009 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Diesel 2500 and 3500 trucks, it appears that the pending class action lawsuit initiated by Atty. W. Craft Hughes back in 2010, has been mediated into an out of court settlement between the original parties in the case and Chrysler. The case was then dismissed without prejudice.
NO financial amount was disclosed by the court. Calls to the office of Hughes Ellzey, the originating attorneys for the action, were not returned and there is no information on the “results” section of their website regarding this case. Perhaps Chrysler doesn’t want a repeat of this situation, so there is nothing of public record available.
The only people to get anything for their trouble, the original plaintiffs and the attorney(s).
Since this matter was settled “out of court”, there are no records of what went on behind those doors, but in the end, you can come to your own conclusion, as Chrysler had already lost one attempt to have the case thrown out.
Perhaps someone else has initiated a group lawsuit or is attempting to gain class-action status, if so, please let this website know, as I would like to hear the status.
Many other folks would too.
