Labor Day 2011 Model Year-end Car Deal Sales

LABOR DAY 2011 MODEL YEAR END CLOSE-OUT DEALS or NOT?

Every car dealer and auto manufacturer is hyping their model year-end of the 2011′s Labor Day close-out sales, and where are these amazing incentives and rebates this year end-of-summer holiday sell-off ?

HONDA has announced .09% is back for 60 months, and Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai and KIA are scrambling to jump on the low interest rate bandwagon, HOWEVER, you must READ THE FINE PRINT.

  • MUST HAVE A 720+  FICO AUTO CREDIT SCORE
  • MUST QUALIFY ON THAT CAR and in lieu of ANY REBATES or OTHER PROMOTIONS.
  • MUST HAVE CASH DOWN FOR THE TAX AND FEES, or a respectable TRADE-IN
  • AND the best part of this equation is the lack of remaining 2011′s…  which almost all these makes are completely out of….
KIA and HYUNDAI have 2012′s in most of their products, HONDA, NISSAN and TOYOTA are still struggling to get some new inventory.

TOYOTA CAMRY is getting a new look for 2012… but the dealers haven’t gotten them yet. The v6 is only available in the SE and XLE and the 4cyl is not a turbo, so expect 24 mpg. They are ramping up the hybrid production in this 7th version, offering 28mpg without a change in size.
Don’t expect a dime off MSRP for the new 2012 CAMRY til inventory starts to roll.

FORD, after a few recent recalls on OLD model years, is back on top in the domestic picture with good deals on Escape, Fiesta, Focus, and F150/F250. The new Explorer is finally getting some incentive so expect a small rebate or low interest rate, selection is decent.
Watch for rebates of up to $2500.00 on the ESCAPE 2011 models and $1250 towards a lease deal.
Ford recently announced a pact with TOYOTA to collaborate on future HYBRID releases, especially in the truck and suv arena. Ford excels at SYNC and INTOUCH, Toyota has invested heavily in the word’s lithium-ion battery manufacturing capability, so they need each other to keep the global auto economy moving forward as the two control the lions share of US vehicle consumption. (May we live in interesting times.)

The CHEVY CRUZE, Traverse, Equinox are now offering some good interest rate promotions and decent selection.
You can STEAL a CAMARO or CORVETTE RIGHT NOW… if that’s your thing…

DODGE, JEEP and CHRYSLER, my old favorites, are hyping a killer lease or finance deal on the new 200 (old Sebring) and the Chrysler 300, although the 300 inventories are low and dealers are acting all proud like it’s the birth of a new era… not buying it…. neither am I.The most interesting new model from the Chrysler consortium is the remodeled JEEP PATRIOT. Bigger and more Jeep like, it shed the square-back box and put on some Grand Cherokee muscle. The new 2012 Wrangler and Liberty are sure to follow in these footsteps, but I’m praying FIAT doesn’t try anything weird on the Wrangler.Still no FIAT 500?  Word has it the FIAT 500 doesn’t like the HEAT!  OUCH. While dealers sign agreements and wait to see what Sergio has in mind, DODGE is still struggling with the Cummins 6.7L EPA-mandated regen problems. Albeit the frequency of complaints has diminished greatly with the latest idle control unit and computer flashes, but the fuel economy is still lousy compared to the old days of the 5.9 24 valve we all miss.  Charger, Challenger and Caliber all need a refresh, and the new Dodge Durango has been a non-starter.
If anyone needs a good gas work truck, DODGE is laying HEAVY rebates on the 1500.

JAGUAR has some very cool lease deals if a LUXURY sedan is in your vision. Forget the BMW, Mercedes and Lexus the new hit in this class is the XF and for the 760-500 clients: the XJ and XJ-L with heated-cooled and MASSAGING seats and rear seat tray tables!!!!
Their Platinum warranty includes 5 years-50k miles service too!  CLICK HERE to see the latest offers:

CREDIT is STILL a HUGE issue, and money down speaks volumes for how a bank likes your chances of a loan. The rate won’t change, it’s score driven, but getting a loan on your dream ride now requires 20% before you hit the door with anything under a 680 AUTO FICO SCORE.I have ONE BANK doing BANKRUPTCY’s and that is NOT OPEN 13′s.  Going rate on BK and loan modifications, short sales and foreclosures is  over 18%, and expect to be called by the finance company regarding your application even after you take delivery of the car.
At least you know with me, your personal situation is always confidential and I will get all the paperwork ironed out ahead of time to eliminate any concerns or embarrassment.  Contact me to get a auto loan pre-approval.

If you can’t handle a new car payment right now… used cars are still plentiful although not every category is cheap.  Luxury used coupes and sedans are a better deal than the middle-class family brands.
Many luxury buyers are reinvesting their money in new cars since the stock market took away any return. So check out the used car trade-ins at luxury car dealers for lower miles and well-kept rides.
Might as well invest in a new car right? I say buy stock in PORSCHE by putting one in your DRIVEWAY!
Why not have some fun with your dough instead of worrying about where it went!
So if you are looking for something specific or maybe just want to get out of your lease early… call me and I’ll start the ball rolling. I always manage to find the diamonds in the rough while everyone else in the car business is whining!
