The 2010 Spring car buying season has launched with a double barrel offer from Dodge with huge rebates and 0% interest designed to lure truck buyers back to the Ram Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 Cummins Diesel. These BIG rebates include $1000 Lease Loyalty, $2500 cash rebate or $1000 cash rebate plus the 0% interest (36 mos.) or low interest rate offer. The loyal Dodge truck owner has effectively been bought back with the lure of a new throttle controller for the 6.7 Dodge Cummins, a new interior redesign and the clever side-bed boxes. However, the new CREW CAB steals some bed space and forces the truck buyer into a more expensive interior option package over the old Quad cab with it’s 40/20/40 bench seat and 4.7L v8. The Hemi 5.7 gets better gas mileage in the Quad and with these rebates and 0% interest offers valued at over $5000.00, buyers are pocketing huge savings over GM and Ford, even with diesel fuel still higher priced than gas in most of the country.
The DPF-devils of the 2007-2009 6.7l Dodge Ram have been vanquished with a new throttle control unit located on top of the engine in the new 2010 Dodge Ram Diesel. This unit monitors idling to cut the soot build-up sending the DPF into regen every few miles of regular suburban driving. I have not received one (1) complaint about the check engine light, regen or stalling issues of previous years.
