Feb.4,2010– I had the opportunity to watch as Mike, (my certified Toyota technician) showed me how quickly, easily and thoroughly he addresses the fix for the recall on accelerator (gas) pedals on the various Toyota models. Noting he has not had one car come in exhibiting the problem, customers are flocking to get the pedal altered, and a FREE car wash (which takes longer than the fix!)
In this video Mike describes the pedal or “foot” feel you would experience if you had a suspect accelerator. To date only 16 complaints have been fielded by NHTSA for this recall. No deaths have been reported.
Today Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood backed off his aggressive anti-Toyota stance, declaring Toyota “a good corporate citizen.”
AND… Toyota added $500 BONUS rebates to Corolla, Camry and Tundra, Tundra has 0% for up to 60 mos. What a difference a day makes…
