DPF delete Update on the Dodge 6.7L Cummins.

by

Dec. 1, 2008  Las Vegas, NV

My good friend and test pilot for the DPF-R delete module and 4″ pipe called today to report in on his first week and 500 miles of driving.

Given that Nevada is now running a “winter” fuel which contains additives to minimize noxious fumes and air pollution, the truck is showing a 2.5 mpg improvement in general driving, mixed use and without a trailer. Pulling a small load of approx. 6000 lbs (quads) he saw a 1mpg improvement.

NO error codes, check engine lights or bad behavior.  The only comment offered was that on cold mornings, the truck idles rougher, not Missing, just rougher until it gets warmed up. I have recommended the electric plug-in, though it hasn’t dropped below 40 degrees yet in our high desert.

SO, I can only say, given time, his truck has 25k miles on it, the overall fuel economy should increase, but better than that, no fault codes, plenty of power and more to come.

That’s it for now!
