  2. Stupid Gas Trick

    June 27, 2008 by mycarlady

June 28- 2008  Well now I’ve seen it all. In this day and age we still have folks that believe they can steal gas.  The attached video shows what happens when you try to steal gas. The person involved has not been found, Dead or Alive.  The 2004 Toyota Tacoma will never be the same.

I just saw the new Lincoln MKS, (test drive review next wk.)  which has an unusual anti-gas stealing, non-locking fuel door. The gas tank reciever actually has a locking trap door that will only allow the correct filling hose nozzle to pass into the opening.  The entry is protected by a mesh trap and floating ball that seals the entry hole in case of a roll-over accident and will prevent a  syphon from passing into the chamber.

Now should an idiot want to try cutting the fuel hose or drilling into the gas tank as this person did, then all bets are off as to how much usuable fuel one would get before lighting themselves on fire.
